More Than Numbers: Insights into Sustainable Finance

April 10, 2026

On April 7, 30 Enactees had the opportunity to dive deep into the world of careers in sustainable finance and, more importantly, to understand what lies behind the numbers: decisions, responsibility, and shaping a more sustainable future.

At the heart of the day was the direct exchange with leading voices from the financial industry. Through presentations and a panel discussion, Brigitte Wickett (Bloomberg), Irene Heemskerk (European Central Bank), Regina Karoline Schüller (Bloomberg), and Nicklas Kemmner (FERI AG) shared insights into the practice of sustainable finance - from ESG ratings to the broader question of how transformation can succeed.

To further deepen this knowledge and support participants in exploring potential entry points into the finance world, all participants received access to the Finance Pathways Learning Platform by Bloomberg for Education. Many thanks to Bloomberg for making this possible.

Another highlight was the visit to the museum of the European Central Bank, which offered an engaging perspective on the development of the European financial system and the role the next generation can play in its sustainable transformation.

A sincere thank you to Bloomberg for the great hospitality, to all speakers for their valuable insights, and of course to our Enactees, who shaped the day with their energy and openness.

We look forward to more inspiring opportunities ahead!
