June 19, 2023

In the presence of Dr. Franziska Brantner, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK), and Ms. Melis Sekmen (Member of the German Parliament, Chairwoman of the Committee on Economic Affairs), students from various Enactus teams presented their unique initiatives dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With projects such as Moufense, Differgy (both Mannheim) and Fish'n'Bricks (Karlsruhe), Enactus project teams are setting new standards in the fight against malaria, the integration of autist:ers into the labor market and the promotion of the circular economy. The event also highlighted Enactus' partnerships with German SMEs, industry and universities. State Secretary Dr. Franziska Brantner was impressed by the impact figures achieved, including over 100,000 new jobs, over 6 million tons of CO2 reduction and over 9 million tons of waste avoided. The discussion also underlined the importance of women in the startup scene and the high relevance of the circular economy for the present and the future. Enactus Germany will continue to act as a pioneer and partner for policy initiatives in the field of social entrepreneurship and drive a sustainable future.
