A new Enactus year begins

September 9, 2026

With the start of a new Enactus year, new Team Leaders also take on responsibility. They will lead their local teams, support their projects, make decisions and create the conditions for ideas to turn into real impact.

At this year’s Team Leader Onboarding on 4th of September hosted at KPMG in Cologne, the newly elected Team Leaders from more than 20 Enactus locations across Germany came together. The focus was on orientation, exchange and, above all, one key question: What does it take to lead a team successfully through an Enactus year?

Alongside the most important input from Enactus Germany, peer exchange played a central role. Many teams face similar challenges, and often the best solutions emerge through conversations with others who are dealing with the same questions.

Ida, Henrike and Lenia from the Enactus Alumni Board added another valuable perspective by reflecting on their own time at Enactus and sharing what has stayed with them from those experiences.

The exchange continued during the regional onboarding sessions next day, where additional board members joined to discuss how the ideas and takeaways from the onboarding could be put into practice within their own teams.

An important part of a strong Team Leader community is making sure that their perspectives are also represented at Germany level.

That is why the new Team Leader Representatives were elected during the TL Onboarding:

Thomas Laux from Braunschweig for the North-East region, Johanna Bialy from Mainz for the West region and Laura Kaup from Straubing for the South region.

All three already bring extensive experience from the Enactus ecosystem. They know the realities of working within the teams, the opportunities that come with it, but also the challenges of taking responsibility at a local Enactus team. This experience makes their perspective especially valuable.

As Team Leader Representatives, they represent the interests and needs of the Team Leaders within Enactus Germany, bring topics from their regions into the wider organisation and hold voting rights on the Enactus Germany Board.

With new Team Leaders, new Team Leader Representatives and many shared ideas, we are excited to start the next Enactus year! 💛
